Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series on classic toys that originated no later than the 1970's. Most will have originated earlier, much earlier. I wanted to bring a little history behind these toys in the cache page and a little fun in the cache.

The history of Star Wars figures started in 1977, when the first film came out. The creater of Star Wars, George Lucas, went to a large toy company called Kenner Toys. Kenner manufacatured and produced Star Wars figures from 1977 to 1985. In mid - 1991, Kenner was purchased by a smaller toy company called Hasbro Toys, George Lucas allowed Hasbro to manufacture and produce Star Wars figures. When Star Wars episode 1 : The Phantom Menace in 1999, Hasbro started remaking the Star Wars figures for the origanal trilogy and episode 1 and what ever may come out next (which will be episode 2 : Attack of The Clones, episode 3 : Revenge of the Sith, and the Clone Wars television series.) Hasbro continued to make them from 1998 to present.

The cache location has been approved by Brian Russart of the Milwaukee County Department of Parks. Permit # 529
