The Golden Cache at Plainsboro Preserve Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Plainsboro Preserve geotrail! Our original eight-cache "Ranger Rick" geotrail was retired on Saturday, March 25, 2017 and we thank all of our geocaching friends for sharing in that adventure. All of the caches in our current ten-cache geotrail have been hidden in different locations from the previous geotrail in order to keep things interesting for returning geocachers.

The Golden Cache at Plainsboro Preserve

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES! The posted coordinates are for the Plainsboro Preserve Nature Center.

To find The Golden Cache, you must first locate the other nine geocaches that are part of the Plainsboro Preserve geotrail:

Inside of each of those nine caches are unique fact cards. Use the information on those nine fact cards to answer the following twelve questions. The answers will give you the numbers (coordinates) necessary to locate The Golden Cache.

Helpful Tips
  1. Please DO NOT take any of the fact cards from the cache containers. If you do, future seekers won't be able to solve the puzzle.
  2. Take a picture of each of the fact cards as you find them so you can refer to them later on. Once you've got pictures of all of the fact cards you'll be able to easily figure out the puzzle.
  3. Carefully read each question and the corresponding fact cards thoroughly. Adverbs of frequency are important!
  4. You can (and should) use the GeoCheck link below the questions to check your answer, but keep in mind that your answer needs to be in the correct format in order for GeoCheck to verify it.

Those who find The Golden Cache are also eligible to receive a special prize from the Plainsboro Preserve Nature Center. Whenever you find one of the other nine caches from our geotrail, you must take a picture of yourself holding the fact card for that cache (showing the "fact" side of the card) and the signed and dated log book. Your face, the fact card (again, showing the "fact" side of the card), and the log book with your signature and date must be clear and visible in each picture. Bring all ten pictures back to the Nature Center to claim your special prize!

Don't forget to pick up a trail map inside the Nature Center before you start your adventure!
