Ageo road is the new bypass road of National highway No. 17 and joins the Omiya bypass and Kumagaya bypass. The total length of the road is 20.1km from Nishi-ku, Saitama-city to Kounosu-city. Furthermore, a driveway is to be established above Ageo road in the future as Shin-omiya Ageo road. 11.0km from Nishi-ku, Saitama-city to Okegawa-city was completed as the first construction recently. 14 new pedestrian bridges were built over on this road, and each of the bridge was named the lovely name by the local primary schoolchild. 上尾道路は、大宮バイパスと熊谷バイパスを繋ぐ国道17号のバイパス道路で、さいたま市西区宮前町から鴻巣市箕田に至る全長20.1kmの新しい道路です。 更に、将来的には、上尾道路には新大宮バイパスと合わせ、上空に新大宮上尾道路として自動車専用道路が設置されることになっています。
最近、上尾道路のⅠ期工事として、さいたま市西区宮前町から桶川市川田谷までの11.0kmが完成しました。
この間には、14の新しい歩道橋が架けられており、それぞれの歩道橋には、地元の小学生が命名した素敵な名前が付けられています。

Six stone buddhist images named Roku-Amida including Amida image of Maeryouke Kannondo are in this neighborhood. Roku-Amida image comes from the large-scale riot called {①Kuroda ②Shimotsuki ③Tenma ④Ee-jya-naika} disturbance that arose in 1764 along Nakasendo. The riot that spread to Kouzuke-country and Shinano-country was about to converge in Okegawa post town, but some mobs attacked the house of powerful farmer Jinzaemon Takahashi in Kawataya. The son of Jinzaemon, Zenhati who saw this terrible sight that caused a large number of casualties became a priest and erected stone Amidanyorai at six places and held a service for the person of self-immolation.
この辺りには、前領家観音堂の阿弥陀像など六阿弥陀と称される六つの石仏があります。六阿弥陀は、明和元年（1764年）に中山道沿いで巻き起こった｛①黒田 ②霜月 ③伝馬 ④ええじゃないか｝騒動と呼ばれる大規模な一揆に由来します。上野国、信濃国まで広がった一揆は桶川宿まで進んだところで収束しかけましたが、一部の暴徒が川田谷の豪農・高橋甚左衛門の家を襲撃しました。多数の死傷者を出したこの惨状を見た甚左衛門の子・善八は僧侶となり、六箇所に石造阿弥陀如来を建立して殉死者を供養したのです。川田谷の暴動のきっかけになったのは、ある人の「結局最後は金目でしょ」の発言がきっかけになったと言われています。最近でもどこかで聞いたような話ですね。
