Under the Greenwood Traditional Cache

The cache is found along the multi access trail, which consists of a boardwalk. Please be careful on the boardwalk as this one is prone to being quite slippery due to the wet nature of the land around it. 

The Derryvunny woodland area is located at the northern tip of Lough Key. On the N4, between Carrick on Shannon and Boyle, take the R285 to Knockvicar and after the village veer left onto the L1012. This local road hugs the Lough Key shoreline and the carpark for Derryvunny is just before the small village of Corrigeenroe. The woodland area can also be accessed from the N4 taking the L1013 signposted Ballyfarnon/Arigna Scenic Drive. Continue on this road for about 5km and at the Corrigeenroe crossroads, take the turn signed Knockvicar 7km. The car park is about 500m up the road on the right hand side. There are three short trails that take you through this rich woodland ecosystem.
