Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted location.

This cache utilises some of the titbits of trivia about the city that I have been unable to use in other caches so far. The cache can be found at

N 50 4(E+L).C(J-D)F

W 1 0(K+H).(E+F)(B-A)(L+G+A),

where:

  • Although not a native of this city (or this county), arguably one of the most famous men in the world lived in Southsea for a while in his younger years. He could often be found in a gym in Southsea. How many letters in his surname? This is AB.
  • The narrowest house in the UK is thought to be in Fratton. The number of the house is CD, and the number of letters in the first part of the road name is E.
  • The first Football League match played under floodlights took place in 1956 at Fratton Park. The score that night was Portsmouth F, Newcastle United G.
  • The last person ever to be convicted and imprisoned under the Witchcraft Act 1735 was arrested after performing a séance in Copnor. The year of her arrest and imprisonment was HJKL.

You are looking for a small box, big enough to hold coins and trackables. Happy hunting!
