The 29th installment of the Rest 'n Peace Centre County Cemetery series brings you to Houserville United Methodist Cemetery. Once known as United Brethren, this burial spot lies seemingly exposed in the middle of a residential neighborhood.
Looking at old aerial photos of this location, it quickly becomes apparent that this old resting ground started as a central spot for worship and interment in the middle of farmers' fields. With suburban sprawl following the buildup of the college, this peaceful haven became enveloped and is nestled cozily into the neighborhood that shares its name.
