Il PalaLido era un importante palazzo dello sport della città di Milano.
La struttura era polivalente, ed ospitava manifestazioni sportive (tra le quali, per alcuni periodi, le gare interne della Olimpia Milano https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pallacanestro_Olimpia_Milano), concerti e congressi.
Nel febbraio 2011 si pensava venisse intitolato a Cesare Rubini, mitico personaggio della pallacanestro e della pallanuoto milanese e nazionale, l'unico atleta capace di vincere due scudetti in due diverse discipline a squadre, ma così non è avvenuto.
Nel 2010 viene presentato il progetto di ristrutturazione del PalaLido, dalla primavera del 2011 iniziano i lavori di ristrutturazione che avrebbero dovuto avere un contributo dalla sponsorizzazione di Giorgio Armani cambiando nome in "Pala AJ" ma nel gennaio 2016, dopo che il termine dei lavori è slittato più volte, Armani rinuncia e annuncia che l'Olimpia rimane al Mediolanum Forum. Dopo aver ripreso il lavori per l'ennesima volta nel settembre 2015 si prevede di completarli per l'estate del 2016.
