Fur007's Golden Ammo: I Hear the Bells Traditional Cache

"This Golden Ammo is in recognition of Fur007's milestone 1000 finds.  Fur has been caching since the summer of 2012, but really stepped up his caching frenzy in 2015 with 541 finds.  He is already at 741 finds for 2016 and will soon be hitting his next milestone.  Please help me congratulate him on this terrific accomplishment.  

I always name my caches after songs and this is a fantastic song that Fur introduced me to.  I Hear The Bells" by Mike Doughty is such an infectous song that will have you singing along after just one listen. Mike Doughty is an American singer-songwriter and author, who founded the band Soul Coughing in the 1990s. This song is featured on "Haughty Melodic", an album by Mike Doughty released on May 3, 2005. Doughty described the album as "a bunch of songs about yearning and redemption and happiness and hope." The album's sound is dense, stuffed full of multi-tracked guitars, horns, keyboards, and Doughty's own voice multiplied over himself in harmony; a departure both from the sounds of Soul Coughing and Doughty's solo acoustic work. The lyric in "I Hear The Bells" describes this album best, "I can, ( I can) hear the bells are ringing joyful and triumphant."  Mike Doughty just recently gave a free performance at the Record Archive in Rochester and he will be back again for a full show in February 2017 performing at Flour City Station.
