NICE VANTAGE POINT TO VIEW THE UPPER AND LOWER FIELDS ON THE LOOP OF THE WOODRING TRAIL......LOOKING FOR A CAMO PILL BOTTLE..........B.Y.O.P....The Trail is located in the heart of the Pennsylvania elk range in Elk County’s Benezette Township which is within the highest elk population density area in the state. This new land acquisition is known as the Woodring Farm and now becomes part of State Game Lands 311...This is one of the newer habitat enhancement projects in the area , interwoven with interpretive boards thru out the lenght of your walk ....The walking trail leads to an overlook about 1/4 mile from the parking area that will offers an opportunity to view Pennsylvania’s wild elk herd in their own habitat..... The property is on 81 acres of prime elk habitat on Winslow Hill Road and is on both sides of the road. The upper portion offers a 180 degree view of the heart of PA’s elk range and many elk frequent this property. .....PLEASE RESPECT THE ELK.........LIKE ANY ANIMAL THEY CAN BE UNPREDICTABLE ESPECIALLY DURING THE RUTTING SEASON!!!!......THIS IS AN ACTIVE HUNTING AREA SO BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR ORANGE WHILE ON THE TRAIL DURING THE STATE WIDE HUNTING SEASONS....THIS IS A MUST AND SPECIAL SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED BY THE PA. GAME COMMISSION AT THE TRAIL ENTRANCE<
