Swampgecko: I know the cache will be gone, but I can't access the track to get there to replace the container, the water is still flowing too high and too fast to safely go.

Yet another geocache at Yarramundi BYO Pen
Take a walk on the wild side, note the change in the landscape as you walk along. Some major sand and gravel mining occurred here in the years gone past. I can recall seeing bugket dredges working the river. You could see them from the North Richmond Bridge looking south. Throwing the bucket with a large splash when it hit the river. Up here in this region they removed the river stone for crushing. Some were sent to a major structure at long way up stream, care to guess what it is? After retrieval from the river the rocks were moved by aerial tram to a spur line off the Kurrajong Railway. The area next door to the Colo Soccer Fields on Old Kurrajong Road.
