Geocache Description:

The PandaMania art exhibit took place in the summer of 2004 throughout DC.  After the exhibit ended, the panda statues were sold or donated.  There are only a few of these statues left in the area.  This series will bring you to the ones that I've found.

This panda is called Directions and is by Alden Phelps (and sponsored by Metropolitan Airports Authority).  This panda was inspired by the paintings of American artist Grant Wood. According to the artist, "I envisioned modern suburban landscapes as if Wood had painted them. As the series progressed over the years, the pictures left the `burbs and headed into the city. Instead of cookie-cutter houses, pools and satellite dishes, now I painted spaghetti highways, buildings and road signs. And so my panda features an impossible tangle of elevated roads, replete with helpful signage to get you home."

The cache location is less busy than right by the panda (and therefore right in front of the windows to the restaurant. It's still close enough to get a good view.

The cache is a magnetic nano in a typical (or so I think) urban hiding spot.
