T&W Heritage Woods Traditional Cache

We took a walk in these woods. Staying on the trails it was a 2.4 mile very easy walk. We thought there would be more muggles than we encountered but it was so peaceful and quiet we really enjoyed it. It is hard to believe that such a beautiful place exists in an urban area. It is called Heritage Forest and for good reason. There are trees in here that are over 400 years old. There is evidence of logging many many years ago. They sure did it differently than than they do now evidenced by the huge trees that are still standing. The container is what has come to be our usual hide for geocaching. We used to put out full size containers a few years ago but got frustrated with trying to keep swag in the container so now we don't bother. A shame but it seems to be the way the majority of participants are playing the game. Not the way we would like to play but that's the way it is. There is also no writing instrument in the cache. Please remember to bring one and sign the log. No signature - no smilie. We hope you will enjoy these trails as much as we do. If you haven't already done so, please look for the other caches in this area. Two of them are "old" caches. One is now 13 years old and the other is 12 years old.
