Parking is available at the trailhead. As trail brochures are not always available at the trailhead, you are invited to download a booklet describing each of the 19 trail stops ahead of time at

This trail is named after Charles Macnamara (1881-1944), a local naturalist and photographer who successfully lobbied the provincial government in 1920 to have this area designated a Crown Game Preserve.
The Macnamara Trail was also featured in the spring 2016 edition of “Ottawa Outdoors” magazine.

All visitors are welcome to enjoy the trails but note that the trails are on land owned by Nylene Canada. Bicycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and dogs are not allowed on the trails.
Along with the natural beauty, there may be poison ivy in some areas. Be prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear as well as some bug repellant during the late spring and summer. Above all, enjoy your time outdoors!
Our GPS was jumping around so hopefully if the coordinates fail to produce the desired cache, the hint will!
