Sons of Ben: Like we promised we headed down to check the water level. Looks like the civil engineers made this opening drain a lot slower than before. I would not like to wade through 2+ feet of runoff to reach a cache, so we will not put fellow cachers in the same predicament. This was a good run. For those who found this cache please speak of your great adventure finding him. God speed my friend. 🥹

Geocache Description:

Saw that the original cache that was here (GC3JVQ2) had been Archived! This was one of the Sons' favorite Finds, so we thought we would place a new one here and keep this adventure in North County. Thanks for bringing us here Kawikaturn!

Recommend a flashlight or 2, some water resistant shoes, a helmet or cap. Park at the suggested "Parking" co-ordinates, and make your way to the "Start Here" coordinates. Cache is a magnetic Altoids can. The cache is about 800 feet from the start area.

If you are looking for a classic '80's Horror film this is it!! Not really, but man did I love watching this as a teen with my friends. The other Sons aren't quite ready for this film:


       Photographer George Cooper (John Heard) is documenting the lives of subterranean homeless people, a population that has mysteriously dwindled. After receiving information from a reporter, George becomes aware of a conspiracy theory about cannibalistic monsters lurking in the sewers. He teams up with the reporter, a policeman (Christopher Curry) and a priest (Daniel Stern) to fight two battles: one against the cannibals and the other against a corrupt government official.
