Geocache Description:

and conservation of natural resources. The main purpose of this series is to use technology to get people away from

technology! Parking is free. Please obey Sugar Hollow Park rules and hours!

 Pollinators include: Bees, Birds, Butterflies, Bats, Beetles and Bugs

 Pollinators help us have healthy food to eat!

 Insects and other pollinators help pollinate more than 1,200 crops. That means that 1 out of every 3 bites of

food you eat depends upon pollinators!!

 Pollinators need our help – Biologists fear several butterfly and bumble bee species have disappeared from parts

of their range, including the once common rusty-patched bumble bee. Habitat loss, introduced diseases,

pollution, and pesticide poisoning are responsible for much of the population decline.

 We can do our part to support pollinators by creating pollinator friendly gardens and protecting wildlife habitat.

 The nearby pollinator garden was created by a local Eagle Scout and is a great example of us doing our part.
