PLEASE OBEY THE PARK'S POSTED HOURS!
These F.G.P. caches are each named after a creature found in the playground area.
The creature's photo was also taken in the playground area!
Have fun!, BUT STAY STEALTHY TO KEEP THIS CACHE'S HIDING PLACE SECURE FROM MUGGGLES!
The park is located in Bettendorf, Iowa, approximately 1/2 mile east of Middle Road on the north side of Forest Grove Road.
The new playground portion of this 100-acre park was made possible with funding assistance from the Scott County Regional Authority, the Friends of Bettendorf Parks Foundation, and the City of Bettendorf. There is also a large pavilion, basketball court area, and parking lot.
The park will have a large passive use natural area along the Spencer Creek watershed that will be opening in the near future. This area will feature a number of trails, wildlife habitat, restored native plant habitat, and natural play features. Future plans for the site consists of a multi-purpose greenspace area that will include ball fields, soccer fields, additional shelters, recreational pathways, and more."
TO FIND THE GEOCACHE: Go to the posted coordinates and find (1.) a sign 'up high' containing TWO WORDS (of RED letters... begins with a 'K') and also find (2.) the 'WEST' side of a 'PLAY BOARD' that contains green balls and musical notes.
Using the two items you just found, the geocache can be found at these actual coordinates:
N 41 35.(A+1)(B-2)(C+5), W 90 26.(D-1)(E)(F-6) where:
(A) = The NUMBER of RED LETTERS in the 1ST WORD, PLUS 1.
(B) = The TOTAL NUMBER of RED LETTERS IN BOTH WORDS (add up all of the letters from both words).
(C) = The NUMBER of RED LETTERS in the 2ND WORD, MINUS 1.
(D) = The TOTAL NUMBER of NOTE PAIRS and NOTE TRIPLETS. (Count each pair as 1, count each triplet as 1.)
(E) = The TOTAL NUMBER of 'moveable'/'clang-able' NOTES, MINUS 1.
(F) = The TOTAL NUMBER of GREEN BALLS.
