Hankey's Forest Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Bigfoot Fam: Much apologies for archiving this geocache. It was placed on trails near our neighborhood and a neighbor expressed reservations about having it so close to where kids played. Other neighbors liked the idea, however, to keep the peace we are going to permanently remove it. Also, there was a fire in the woods which melted the ouside of the cache. BUT, we are going to find a new home for the cache and will post as soon as we do.

Geocache Description:

This is a geochache created by a 1st grader for other young geocachers. Ideal for elementary school kids. There are trinkets for the cache. Please take one and let us know if it's empty. They'll refill it for several years.

It was named in honor of our pet chihuahua who passed away this year and loved to take walks in these woods.

You'll drive into our neighborhood adjacent to public lands and park in the parking lot unless your coming from a different direction. Look for a discrete tailhead, small but clear. Take it in about 500' to a pretty little waterfall. After crossing the waterfall the trail ends, and the search begin for the cache.
