Sunday - January 1, 2017. Join us at Jones Beach Parking Field 6 to watch the first sunrise of the New Year. We will be gathering on the beach side patio of the concession stand. Hopefully the fresh air, sea sounds and lightening skies will refresh and revitalize you after celebrating the arrival of 2017 only 7-1/4 hours earlier. 

Sunrise is scheduled for 7:18 a.m. on this date (first light around 6:45 a.m.). We will be arriving at 6:30 a.m. and leaving at 8 a.m.

Your first cup of morning coffee and donuts will be provided or bring the food &/or beverage of your choice. In your Will Attend log, please mention if you would like a donut and what type you would prefer. Please also mention if you are bringing any other beverage/food so we may cut down on duplicates.

#1 of 2 today @ 7:17 a.m. WOW!! Really surprised at the turn out this morning. Also surprised at the drives that some of us took to get here this morning. Special recognition has to go to TSandCS for arriving before me (I arrived approx 6:25 am. - he was already there and had claimed the table in our name). Sorry I couldn't provide a perfect sunrise but, I would guess I did provide a fun get together and a unique welcome to 2016. MANY of us stay up to watch the ball drop at 12:00 a.m. on Jan. 1. Thanks to all for attending and attempting to watch the "ball" go up on Jan. 1 at 7:17 a.m. Happy New Year to All!!
