This Memorial Park commemorates soldiers from World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War.
This park is on the corner of Brookside Avenue and Park Avenue.
It features War Memorial Honor Roll Plaques, Panels and Stones.
The Allendale memorial consists of a bronze eagle with outstretched wings perched on a sphere atop a tall granite shaft.
The shaft has commemorative plaques on the front, and incised decorations including a US star near the top and a wreath near the bottom.
The plaque is inscribed with the names of residents of Allendale who died in World War I.
Subsequent plaques memorialize those killed in World War II and the Vietnam War.
The park is on a busy intersection however it usually empty, giving you time to walk and look around.
You must bring your own pen and you may need tweezers.
Congratulations to Walkin' Ed for the FTF.
