We manage to know about this Blue lake in JB through a youtube video, and we are totally awed by the beauty of it. Same to many of you, we cannot believe there is a lake with gorgeous blue-coloured water. This lake is known as the Seri Alam Blue Lake / Quarry. We have to see this Beauty during our next JB trip and plant a cache here!
Seri Alam <至达城>is a neighbourhood of the city of Masai, Taman Rinting and Kota Putri. Located 25 kilometers from Johor Bahru City Centre, the City covers approximately 15 square kilometers and houses an ecology educational facilities from school age to campuses of some of the world's leading universities. City of Knowledge aims to be the center of educational excellence in the eastern part of Iskandar Malaysia. As you drive to the GZ, you will pass by rows and rows of beautiful private housing and lots of educational institutes. :) This beautiful lake is in fact a granite Quarry and nobody knows what caused its water to have this mysterious blue color. However, this blue beauty is currently in a state disappearance. During our visit to the Blue Lake, we saw some construction in quarry, (maybe granite mining) that was causing the blue water level to be depleting. It would be such a waste if this beauty were to be gone forever, hence we decided to plant a cache here, hoping cachers will still have change to see this nice scenery and also update us the changes of this Quarry.

Some tips to get there!
1) Persiaran Seri Alam road is a circular road. Try to go to the road leading to the trailhead "Jln Persiaran Sinaran Ilmu" through anticlockwise direction. There is construction at the northern side. You should be heading to a road aptly named "To Blue Lake".
Find this crash barrier and crawl under/climb over it.
