A nice hike up Trail 30. This one could be called Upper Trail 30 Upper.
We hiked up Trail 30 to check on our caches up there and decided we needed to put one higher up. It seems like the higher you go the better the view. There are five other caches in the vicinity of Trail 30 so enjoy the hike. It is just over 1/2 a GPSy mile up to the cache site.
Trail 30 is located about 1/2 mile east of Catherine Creek trailhead on old Highway 8. Just after you go by the squiggley road sign there is a gate on your left with parking for a couple of vehicles and more in pull-offs across the road. Head up the hill following the semblance of a road. Once you get to the power lines you are getting close - keep heading up. The cache is a PVC tube about 10 inches long. It has some goodies and an unactivated geocoin for FTF. Please use your construction skills to keep a nice wall around it and a roof over it.
