Geocache Description:


This is No 40 in a series of caches. Some of these are at sporting venues others may not.

The Brownlow Medal was formally Charles Brownlow Trophy.

It is a individual award given to a player who is judged to be the fairest and best player in the

Australian Football League during the regular season.

This is decided by votes by the officiating umpires after each game.

The Medal has been awarded every year since 1924 with the exceptin of an intermission

from 1942 to 1945 due to World War 2.

Players are ineligible to win the Medal if they have been suspended for on field offences.

The 1976 Brownlow Medal was won by Graham Moss from the Essendon [Bombers] Football Team.

He had 48 votes

 

The cache may be difficult to get if there is any sporting events being held.

The cache is a mint tin painted black. Contains log only. BYO pen.

Please watch for muggles and replace in same spot.
