The 2016 Brrr Winter caching series is focused around historical locations in the greater Holland area. In addition to giving you a chance to add another smiley to your stats and have a little Geowinterfun we've added a touch of learning. We hope you have fun caching and learning. Don't forget to grab the code for the bonus cache.
Waukazoo was chief of the Indian Band that lived in the area when the settlers arrived. Eventually they were pushed out and relocated north to the Traverse city area. If you read some of the histories about the area and the treatment of the native you will be sorely disappointed at how some of our predecessors behaved.
At the posted coords you will find a historical marker. To locate the geocache you will need to collect some information.
