Geocache Description:

A fairly quick cache and dash.

Please bring your own writing implement and, possibly, tweezers.

A simple cache at a village which boasts few caches as yet.

Newby is a village and civil parish in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England. Close to the border with the borough of Middlesbrough and 2 miles (3.2 km) from the centre of Middlesbrough. Newby is located 19 miles (31 km) from North York Moors, which became a National Park in 1952. According to the United Kingdom Census 2011 Newby had a total population of 214.

Although the lane is relatively quiet it can happen that cars come past at quite a speed. Please ensure that you park sensibly - there is a space within feet of the cache.
