Geocache Description:

The 2016 Brrr Winter caching series is focused around historical locations in the greater Holland area. In addition to giving you a chance to add another smiley to your stats and have a little Geowinterfun we've added a touch of learning. This one doesn't quite fit with the history theme but it is a cool place to visit and learn. We hope you have fun caching and learning. Don't forget to grab the code for the bonus cache.

DeGraaf Nature Center is one of Holland's best kept secrets, mostly because the view is obscured from Graafschap Road. If you have 20 minutes or 2 hours, you will enjoy exploring the woodland, shrub, marsh and pond trails of this 18 acre nature preserve located within the city limits of Holland. The Brower Interpretive Center is brimming with informative and hands-on displays and live animal exhibits. So don’t leave town. Come to DeGraaf Nature Center any time of the year to reconnect with nature.

The city has owned the nature center property at 600 Graafschap Road since the 1970s. The original building went up in 1982, and in 1989, they added the log cabin. The 1997 addition of a second classroom, office space and a new entryway completes the nature center as it stands today. Planned for the near future is a new bus friendly driveway and play area.

The posted coords will take you to a sign about the nature center and trail map. To find the geocache you will need to collect some information.
