Greatland Reviewer: Hello ybnormal4:

This cache page has been archived due to the lack of response to one or more prior Reviewer Note(s) about issue(s) with the cache. If you would like to have the cache unarchived, please contact me through my profile as soon as possible before another cache gets placed nearby.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page requires it to go through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

Our first geochache hide.  We noticed that there were only a few caches near the Waihe'e area so we thought we'd expand the fun to this side of the island.

You will find this geocache hiding in a favorite dwelling spot of the Keebler elves, or better known in Hawaii as ancient Hawaiian MENEHUNE. Legends say that Menehune were said to be excellent craftsmen.  Menehune built heiau (temples), fishpond, roads, canoes, and houses.  They were said to live in deep forests and hidden valleys.  Although this geocache is not hidden in the forest (more like on the side of the road) this hiding spot may be representative of where the menehune would have hid.

This geocache was made by my 13 year old son, Luke, who has special needs.  Geocaching has recently become Luke's favorite afternoon activity.  This small sized geocache is filled with lots of fun treasures.  Please help yourself to the treasure but kindly leave something in it's place.   Please bring a pen to log find.  We hope to add a few more geocaches to this beautiful island of Maui.  Thanks for seeking this cache, and good luck!
