Our original Gator Gazing caches were eliminated when the trees in the area were cleared during the sidewalk project. Now that construction is complete, we were able to find a couple of locations for the next generation.
It is not uncommon to see an alligator in the bayou, possibly sunning itself on the opposite bank. The pipes across the water are a popular spot for turtles but we have seen smaller gators using them as well. Great Egrets roost at the west end at night, mullet fly through the air, cormorants dive and loons visit during the winter. It's not just gators that you may see.
Find the container, sign the log and let us know what you gazed when you log it online. Any pictures of wildlife or you on the hunt are greatly appreciated!
