Geocache Description:

This is the fifth in a series of caches dedicated to places to take your geo-dog to. This is also a replacement of the original, which is archived. This one brings you about 250 feet away from a nearby sidewalk that is a great place to walk your dogs. Please be respectful of the area, as there is a nearby monument built near the cache. No need to cross the fence bordering the church.

The basenji traces back to ancient Egypt, where they were used as companions and hunting dogs. They can't bark, and produce a yodel-like howl instead. They tend to act like cats, by licking to groom themselves, play with their front paws and pounce, and like to climb as high as possible. Problems you might have may include chewed up plants (they enjoy eating grass, leaves, etc), hyperactivity, and destructive tendencies if they get bored. But with those in mind, some positives include lack of shedding, dedication to their owners, and long walks, perfect for Geocaching!
