G = (L - C) x U - C
H = (E – S) x B
X = B x E + S + T
Y = L + S - C + E
Z = T x S + K
At GZ look inside an empty tree protector to find stage 1 of the puzzle. You will have to complete three separate tasks in a specific order to locate the key which will unlock the cache. Every aspect of the puzzle is located within a 15m / 50ft radius of the cache and hints to each stage are detailed below.
Stage 1 - The combination can be worked out below.
1st = U – L – K
2nd = T – E – S
3rd = B + K
4th = C + K – S
Stage 2 - Look for a nearby tree next to the small burn. Use what you just found.
Stage 3 - Head ~50ft North and look for a tree next to two small wooden posts. Drop what you just found. Now the log is yours to sign!
Stage 4 - Return to the posted coordinates and check the nearby gorse bush.
