To honor Zorgon, we have given him one last find which is the FTF on this cache. His son came with us when we placed the cache and signed the log for his father.
Zorgon was well known within the Geocaching community, and will be very sorely missed. Zorgon started Geocaching back in 2004, so saw Geocaching evolve over all those years, and was a great advocate for the ethics of Geocaching. He was well respected by all his mates as a good, old fashioned gentleman, as well as a bit of a joker. Many Geocachers benefited from his unique ability to quietly encourage others to push beyond their personal limits. As a result, many geocaching trips turned into memorable and magical adventures. Zorgon always showed a genuine interest in others and despite being a prolific and adventurous Geocacher, he would never be caught boasting of his achievements. There is much that can be learnt from a gentleman like Zorgon and the world of Geocaching will be much better for knowing him.
Zorgon loved the mountains so it was only appropriate that this cache was placed on one of his favourites. You can access the cache from numerous different tracks, we parked at Grey Road and headed up from there when we placed the cache. However when planning your route up, remember what Zorgon has taught us and make it a bit challenge! Though please still take all the necessary precautions and stay safe!! The cache shouldn't be too hard to locate as the enjoyment and challenge of this cache is getting to GZ.
The cache contains numerous items which made us think of Zorgon, one of them being the Zorgon (Wilson) trackable, feel free to discover it but please leave it in the cache.
If you do have any pictures of Zorgon on any adventure please upload to this cache page.
