Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Poles of Power (POP) is a new easy series of caches where you will not get scratched nor will your blood pressure get out of hand. Most containers are the same and all are magnetic. The roads are mostly flat with some dips and gouged out areas, most vehicles can probably make it but a high clearance vehicle would be best. If it rains it will be muddy for a week or so.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A POWER RUN, CONTAINERS SHOULD NOT BE MOVED FROM ONE LOCATION TO THE NEXT, REMOVE LOG, SIGN AND REPLACE AS FOUND. This is NOT a power run even though it may appear to be one. Containers are hidden somewhere on the towers and it is your job to find them. Coordinates are placed in the center of the tower and you will have to find where on the tower the cache is hidden. Please DO NOT move containers from one location to the next. These are unique containers not designed or intended to be moved. If you can't find one log a DNF do not drop a replacement. The only way I know attention is needed is by DNF's or notes. The first 8 are separated from the other by the land fill, you will have to backtrack to Deer Valley to get to number 9. Exit Deer Valley at N 33 40.946 W 112 26.314 and go South to the power line Rd. After finding these 8 there are several roads going North to Deer Valley or you can return way you came and continue West on Deer Valley past the land fill. Make a left and go around the APS sub station on the West side to number 9, from there it's a straight shot to the rest. Some of these cache's are on ASTL and geocachers must purchase a recreation permit available on the [Arizona State Land Department's website] (https://land.az.gov/natural-resources/recreational-permits) in order to geocache there. Permits for individuals are $15 and families $20 for a year.
