This cache has been placed to coincide with the setting of my multicache "It's not ALL antique shops!" and is on / close to the route you will take for that.
Tetbury Goods Shed is all that now remains of Tetbury station. The station was the terminus for the Tetbury branch line which was closed in 1964 as part of the Beeching cuts. The line was primarily used for livestock and there was a cattle market alongside. In 1963, an entire Tetbury farm – complete with machinery, foodstuffs, staff and pedigree herd of Hereford cattle – was transported from the station to Stranraer in 31 vehicles. The Goods Shed is being renovated to become a community arts and performance venue. Go to www.tetburyraillands.com for more information.
Bring your own pen / pencil for this one.
Take care as you open it and please replace carefully out of view...
