The 8th in the CO's "Go Take a Hike Series", this is a 5-stage multi-cache (including posted coordinates and final) that involves collecting information at each stage in order to move on to the next. All stages are "virtual" stages except the final. The estimated mileage from the first stage (posted coordinates) through all stages to the final is about a mile. Bring paper and pen or some other means of keeping track of information as you go and for minor computations. There will be several of these computations to do and be sure to take the time to do them carefully. Also, importantly, make sure you have the full descriptions of the waypoints below before you set out. Finally, all coordinates start with N32 and W117.
At the posted coordinates (Stage 1) you should see a kids play structure in the shape of a train. Gather the following information:
A = number of red metal circles on the train play structure
B = the number of M's on the plaque on a nearby bench
Stage 2 can be found at
47.(A+B)AA
04.(A+3)A(A+B+1)
The final cache is a small altoids tin hidden under a small rock under a bush. Happy hunting!
