This is the first of a short series of five Christmas themed caches. The caches should all be quite easy to find and are ideal for families/children and the novice cacher. They are all different and have colourful containers most with swops. No pen/pencil.
Having looked for some time for a suitable area to place these caches we chose this one. It was going to be a circular route but when we returned to place the caches our path was blocked by a flooded field so it was changed into a shorter there and back trail. The trail is close to Gloucester and Cheltenham. Travelling on the A38 from Gloucester to Tewkesbury you pass through Norton and then you pass a turning on the right for Prior's Norton. Staying on the A38 for a very short distance the parking is on the left. The entrance to the route is from the layby signed public footpath/bridleway. You can see the top of the church at Prior's Norton from the parking. The route is through fields and runs along side Collier's Brook. The main fields are seperaed from the footpath by electric fencing. There were sheep in the first field but no other livestock at time of placing caches. The public footpath does not always have signposts but the way to walk seems logical and other routes are blocked to stop you going wrong. we would highly recommend wellies or boots as parts of the path are muddy, they will be very muddy after heavy rain if the brook overflows. We hope these caches put you in the Christmas spirit. Any constructive feed back is appreciated. Enjoy.
