The terrain rating on this geocache is accurate. The Difficulty is relative to the challenge and the actual hide combination. If this were a Traditional cache, the rating would be 3-4.5. ( November - March will be more like a 2-4.5 ). The hide was placed with my feet on the dirt and NO tools used. Please use caution when going for this one. I don't recommend doing this one alone and I HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS IN THE SNOW.
. Actual hide is hanging in a Carpinus caroliniana aka Blue beech At the time I wrote this up, I have 319 finds on geocaches rated 4.5 Terrain. Lets face it, for some of us, a 1.5-1.5 just doesn't cut it all the time. When we arrive at the lamp pole, we hope to see it 20' up the pole. Well, if this sounds like you, then this challenge is for you. Non-Qualified found logs or those without the requested proof will be deleted, sorry. I have no problem with you signing the log and log a Write Note. Once you qualify, either change the Write Note to Found or just log a find.
I am going to list a couple hot spots for 4.5 terrain geocaches. Water trails. Oak Orchard Creek near Buffalo, beginning with GC5VQ21 and ends at Lake Ontario. Carni's Water Trail, begins at GC59XZG and ends at GC5YG23 just West of Buffalo.
