This campaign creates awareness of cyclists on our public roads.
This is an easy park and grab on the famous R62, but please be respectful when visiting the site.
During March 2010 a horrific accident happened on this spot when a vehicle knocked down three cyclists while overtaking a truck. Frank Nel (60), Jan Elloff (73) and Magda van Lill (50) died on the scene and a fourth cyclist sustained injuries and later died in hospital.
Please be very aware of cyclists on this road as it has no shoulders and during sunrise and sunset motorists get blinded by the sun.
