Geocache Description:

THERE IS NOTHING HIDDEN at the posted coordinates. Across the street from the posted coordinates is one of the largest benchmarks you'll find, OH1230. The capitol building itself is a benchmark (and easy to log).

"Elected" is a 1972 song by Alice Cooper, the first Hot 100 hit on his 6th studio album, Billion Dollar Babies. The single reached #26 during election week on the US charts, #4 on the UK charts and #3 in Austria. It inspired one of the first MTV-style story-line promo videos ever made for a song.

Billion Dollar Babies was commercially more successful than Cooper's previous albums; it went to No. 1 in both the United Kingdom and United States. The album's singles, "Elected", "Hello Hooray", "Billion Dollar Babies", and "No More Mr. Nice Guy", all became hits on the Billboard Hot 100. In March 1973 the album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America and in 1986, it went platinum.

We happen to be big music fans, and so do our kids. Please enjoy the hunt for this easy puzzle cache!

First-To-Find prize is a collectible American coin rarer than our usual leave, a 1920 San Francisco .900 silver “Mercury” Dime as a wink to the mercurial nature of politics. The obverse of this coin isn’t Mercury (or Hermes), but “Lady Liberty” wearing a winged helmet. The reverse features a fasces, an old piece of traditional imagery you don’t see much of nowadays (perhaps a good thing). Congratulations to dizziellama for winning the FTF electoral vote!
