< The Station >
Opened in 1908, Sakashita is one of the JR-Central's staion for passengers of its Chuo Line, originally constructed by Japanese Government Railways (JGR) .
Because this is a small station in the mountain, the number of passengers leaving here per day is less than 500 and very few trains are available, especially during daytime. When you visit this area by train, I'd recommend you to consult a train-timetamble book / booklet in advance.

＜坂下駅について＞
坂下駅は、東海旅客鉄道（ＪＲ東海）の小駅ですが、元々は官設鉄道の中央線が中津川駅以北に延伸するにあたり、1908年（明治41年）に終着駅として開業しました。
山間の小さい駅のですので、乗車人員は一日平均で500人をも下回っており、列車本数が（特に日中は）非常に少なくなっています。列車でお越しになる場合は、時刻表をしっかり確認してお出かけください。
