brightie: Sorry - as the Phone Box has been removed this morning I need to archive this cache as it is no longer a Fine Pair. To protect the integrity of the Fine Pair stats (finders, etc) it's better to archive than just rename. Thank you to everyone who came out of their way to look for this cache, our first one. We hope you enjoyed it.

Geocache Description:

Number 546 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.

A simple cache that could be done as Cache-and-Dash or as a diversion from one of the other nearby series.

A little bit of stealth required here, please - it's very close to dwellings. Please bring your own pen.

One of a few remaining traditional phone boxes in Whitchurch.   As per BT's request,  it's not in or attached to the in-service phone box at the co-ords.

BT are considering removing them at the moment and are looking for local organisations to adopt them  - so be quick if you want to make a phone call!

This is our first cache (please go easy on us!) and could be used to link between two excellent series near here -  bevandbarry's Bridges Of Whitchurch series and Sal37071's Sal's Laverstoke Loop.  Alternatively,  just enjoy the walk up the hill!

There will be a prize for FTF but we can't leave it in the cache.   Therefore,  we'll message the FTF cacher as soon as possible after they log the first confirmed find to arrange delivery/collection.

Good Luck and happy hunting...

CONGRATULATIONS TO m+a+a+m for the FTF
The Fine Pair series was originally started by wizardsmum but is now managed by mattd2k

If anybody would like to place 'A Fine Pair' of their own please do. I would just ask that you first visit www.afinepair.co.uk to request a number to avoid any duplication

mattd2k also keeps a public Bookmark List of this series. Once your cache is published please contact him via geocachingafinepair@gmail.com to have yours added
