Geocache Description:

This cache is no ordinary geocache. It is the 2016 special Christmas geocache. It is placed in early December and will remain the special holiday cache through the holidays. The cache is stocked with presents all wrapped and labeled for Senior Geocacher, Junior Geocacher and Geo Doggie. All geocachers, young and old or four legged visiting the cache are welcome to take one gift and leave nothing in its place. This cache is our gift to the geocaching community. After New Years the special Christmas Cache will be replaced with a regular cache for the remainder of the year.

Below is a rather large drawing of Santa that can be printed out for the little ones (and big folks too) to color. Simply click on the image and it will open in a new browser. In that browser click "File>Print Preview then Print. When you visit the Christmas cache between December 7 and January 2 you will find a large envelope in with the log. Write the artist's first name and geocaching account name on your or your child's artwork then place in the large envelope. When I pick up the special Christmas Cache after January 1st and this has been converted to a regular cache I will enter the names of all artist into a hat and draw a winner for a special geocaching prize. Please, only one entry per person. If you would like to upload the artwork to your log that would be awesome.

1/8/2017 At the New York Capital Region Geocacher monthly breakfast we put the names of all who left their colored Santa picture in the cache into a hat and drew a winner. Congratulations to NYKid who's name was drawn and won the one year premium membership at geocaching.com.
