The 36th Rest 'n Peace - Centre County cache takes you to the old Boal Family burial ground behind the Columbus Chapel in Boalsburg, PA. This is a long disused cemetery consisting of just a few headstones, a memorial plaque, and a single crumbling tomb.
The entrance to the cemetery lies along Old Boalsburg Road, which was once a main artery between Boalsburg and the 'Farmer's High School', or as we know it today, Penn State. Accessing the cache is easiest by walking on the abandoned road next to the sign shown below, but closer parking is available by the Boal Barn or the museum proper.
The cemetery itself is tucked into a shallow depression on the roadward side of the chapel, but to find the cache you'll need to do a little bit of legwork and find the aforementioned memorial plaque and gather some information.
To find the cache, walk to the spot from which I took this picture of the Columbus Chapel.
At this location, turn around and read the rather unique dedication. To the posted fake coordinates, add this gentleman's age to both north and west to get the final.
When looking for the actual cache, there is no need to poke or prod into any building or move any stones. The hint is a dead giveaway if you are stuck. Also, please respect daytime access only.
The burials here are not listed on my go-to Find-a-Grave, but museum tours are available during the warmer months should you have more questions.
