Istanbul is famous for the amount cats that roam its streets. The people of Istanbul all take part in caring for these cats. This cache is placed in a park where cats congregate and people come to feed, play with, and pet them. It is minutes away from the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, and Hagia Sophia. If you pass a place selling cat food on your way here, you may pick a little up. The also like the meat from your doner sandwiches. Some even like the bread.

Tombili, the impossibly chill cat whose cool demeanor won over the internet, is being memorialized in a statue in Ziverbey in Istanbul.
The friendly feline was the epitome of a neighborhood cat, always lounging about outside.
