Geocache Description:

Special thanks to FOPE (friends of the Pugwash estuary) for their efforts in making this trail available to the public and allowing these geocaches to be placed.

The trail(s) in this series are a combination of the newly opened Peace Trail which connects to an older trail on Seagull Foundation propertry. Round trip for both trails is just under 9 kilometers. The last 8 caches in the series are in a loop which will shorten your hike out. The trail hugs the waterway for the majority of the hike and offers great scenery and photo opportunities. Trail markers for the new trail are red metal markers nailed to the inward side of the trees. Markers for the older trail are orange flagging tape and wooden triangles with a green dot screwed to the trees.

Remember your camera, unfortately I forgot mine, as there is plenty of great scenery and you will probably see lots of wildlife. When I placed the caches I seen literally hundreds of water birds with many large flocks of ducks and Canada geese. Please post your pics as I would love to see them.

The geocaches are a series of 22 taped pill bottles. All are winter friendly and close to the trail.
