The road IS VERY rutted, rocky, and narrow, a high clearance vehicle is highly recommended! There is a space to park/turn around. Or-park in the big area and walk on up. REMEMBER this is the desert, not much here is friendly, it is pretty (beauty in the eye of the beholder of course). Yes, THERE ARE rocks, dirt, plants of many kinds, and indigenous wildlife (they often stay in the cool shade of rocks, bushes and grasses.). BE AWARE of where you and your pets are stepping.
. Remember to be careful, it's the desert and everything bites.
