Geocache Description:

Small Cache. Park and Grab.

Captain Foreman and 20 of his brave soldiers lost their lives defending local people from a Native American attack. The troop was massacred at the start of the Narrows near present day McMechen, WV. This memorial stands to represent the massacre of these brave men. The cache here is very small and almost in plain sight. The terrain is fairly flat but it is very close to the 4 lane highway. It is best to park across the street from the bar and walk to the cache. Do Not Park on side of highway!
