Time that this location had a cache. I used to stop here when I was younger, and have swum at this spot. There is even a rope swing at the river's edge. A sign nearby warns that it is a deep river at this spot. It is a nice place to have a summer break, but the entrance is tricky and could be dangerous in heavy traffic.
Please use great care when preparing to pull off the highway here. The cache is placed above flood level. It will be easy to find once at GZ, so please try to cover as best you can.
Just nearby I was very surprised to find that someone has created a private heartfelt memorial to three little boys, murdered by their father on Father Day in 2005, at Winchelsea, Vic. Researching the story brought tears to my eyes, and the pain felt by the artist of this memorial is evident. Please treat the memorial with respect.
