Take a Walk on the Computing Side Event Cache

This is a different event for those interested in the tricks and pitfalls in geocaching software and what Geocachers Should Always Know.  The event will be held on the afternoon of Sunday January 22 from 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm at the Edelweiss Tavern, (corner of Doon Village Rd. and Homer Watson) 600 Doon Village Rd, Kitchener, ON N2P 1G6. I always get keen interest among other cachers to learn more about the computing side of geocaching, so I decided to give this a try. This includes many of the tricks and pitfalls associated with geocaching software and what Geocachers Should Always Know. Bring your computer, your questions, problems, ideas and let's see what happens. No promises.

Emphasis will be on MACRO input with Good Solid Answers to Kwestions to manage multiple pocket queries (PQs); large databases;  targeted caches; sort and filter mystery caches, challenges and puzzle caches; your placements; potential placements; your finds; etc. etc. etc.

The Edelweiss offers free WiFi but with an unknown limit as to how many they can support on-line at the same time.

You can stay for the entire event or just pop in to listen for a few minutes. Please specify in your "will attend" log: how many are in your party; whether you will be participating; or just popping in to say hello.
