This cache is a member of the Welcome to Night Vale (WTNV) geocaches. WTNV is an excellent podcast detailing the strange occurrences in a small desert town called Night Vale. From the Wiki page:
"Night Vale is a friendly desert community where the sun is hot, the moon is beautiful, and mysterious lights pass overhead while everyone pretends to sleep."
Carlos, a scientist by training, arrived in Night Vale to study the scientific basis of strange phenomenon happening in Night Vale. Throughout the podcast, he perfomes his duties diligently, concocting experiments, and even got lost for a few months in the desert otherworld.
This new building at MSU for Bioengineering Research reminded me of Carlos and his antics. We are also scientists (I, Britty, work in the Life Sciences building) and think this brand new building is pretty cool (although admittedly, out of the way). Enjoy!
