Geocache Description:

If I pay attention, big events are happening all around me all of the time. 2016 has not been an exception. This puzzle should be fairly easy if you are willing to put in a little time researching the answers. I have tried to cover some diverse topics and hopefully you will enjoy this little adventure.

First of here are some housekeeping items. The cache is not at the posted coordinates, but is not too far from them. Please obey all traffic and parking laws when you finally make the find. This one should be a park and grab once you solve the puzzle. Please exercise stealth when retrieving this cache and remember to bring your own writing utensil as the cache only contains a log. To solve this puzzle you will need to do some online research regarding some events, headlines, and other stories that transpired in 2016. These include politics, the passings of notable people, sports, disasters, and wars. Please contact me if you have any troubles and I will try to be of assistance. You will need to replace the associated letter with the corresponding number to get the final coordinates. I hope you enjoy!
