La Basilica di Santa Maria di Lourdes è una delle tante bellissime chiese presenti a Milano.
E' una struttura moderna con poca storia da raccontare ma contiene un bel segreto... quindi ha senso venire fino a qui per scoprire qualcosa di nuovo e non certo per la mia scatoletta. :-)

La Basilica è molto particolare, la vista della facciata principale è poco visibile dalla strada e viceversa è presente una bellissima grotta che richiama la famosissima Grotta della Madonna di Lourdes

Visto che ci siamo ... la domanda è .. che differenza c'è tra una Chiesa, una Basilica e un Duomo?
Allora la Basilica è letteralmente la casa del re e cioè del Signore. Viene infatti dal greco basileus, che significa re, e da oikos, che vuol dire casa. Ogni chiesa, quindi, può essere considerata una basilica.
Il Clero però attribuisce solo ad alcune chiese tale definizione in base alla importanza e al valore artistico.
Inoltre, la basilica deve possedere i mezzi necessari a mantenere il decoro richiesto dal titolo.
Il duomo, dal latino domus (casa), è sempre la casa di Dio ed è la chiesa più importante di una città, per lo più in stile gotico con pilastri e volte che ne esaltano lo slancio in verticale.
Se il duomo si trova presso una città che è sede vescovile, come lo è Milano, prende il nome di cattedrale, ossia la chiesa principale della diocesi, detta così perché il vescovo ha lì il suo trono o “cattedra”.
In fatti il Duomo è la Cattedrale del Duomo, 3 Cattedrale per superficie a livello mondiale dopo San Pietro e la Cattedrale di Siviglia
Tornando alla cache, il giorno in cui ho messo la cache era casualmente proprio l'8 dicembre 2016. L'atmosfera era molto bella e vorrei che ogni persona, credente o meno, possa accedere nella area della chiesa e farsi una idea della magia che si respira. Io sono entrato e qualche brivido mi è venuto.

La Basilica ha anche un interessante campanile e in occasione del Natale anche una area per il presepe.
Il sito WEB è particolare e contiene una area dedicata alla mostra fotografica che vi farà apprezzare in anteprima i tesori di questa Basilica.

La cache è una semplicissima scatoletta nascosta nell'arredo urbano nella piazzetta a lato della chiesa nel più classico dei posti.

Returning to the cache, the day when I put the cache was just randomly on 8 December 2016. The atmosphere was very nice and I wish every person, believer or not, can access the area of ​​the church and get an idea of ​​the magic you breathe. I entered and some thrills I came.

The Basilica also has an interesting bell tower and at Christmas also an area for the crib.

A cache is a simple little box hidden in the street furniture in the square beside the church in the most classic places.
